The PTA is excited to share the programs we have lined up. These programs will be held on-site at the school unless stated otherwise. Bus transportation is not available after these programs. Parents & guardians who have students who take the bus will have to coordinate their own transportation home.
All after-school programs providers are accountable for operating the programs (registration, logistics, payment, etc.) and are run independently from the PTA. Providers are solely responsible for the children during class time, not Monta Loma Elementary School nor Monta Loma PTA. Should you have any questions about the program, please contact the provider directly.
Mondays: Mad Science, Grades 1 - 5

Tuesdays: Amazing Race with Snapology, Grades 1 - 5
Are you ready for an adventure? Send your learner on a trip with Snapology around the world to discover unique aspects of different cultures, including national flags, traditional cuisines, influential artists, and notable historical landmarks! While they explore, they will be challenged to work with a partner to solve different tasks in various “countries” that will put them ahead or behind in the race to the finish line! Not only will your student be learning about world cultures and developing an appreciation for cultural differences, but they will be competing in fun challenges to test their building and problem-solving skills. Wednesdays: Mini-Game Coders: Cosmic CrewMagic with Lando, Grades 1 - 5
Launch into orbit by coding your own Asteroid Dodger, Black Hole Escape, or Alien Invader using Lando's Scratch-based iPad app. Add fuel meters, alien waves, and secret levels with teachers guiding just-right challenges so no one gets stuck or bored. Playtest with friends to see who beats the high score, then take home a link to keep coding after class. Check out their flyer here.

Thursdays: Clay World Building with Lando, Grades K - 2
Update 10/22: The program is full but Lando is trying to find a 2nd teacher in January so add your student to the waitlist!
Coil noodles, stack pancakes, and load tacos into a restaurant that opens for business every class. Pick from ten new builds with teachers
modeling key steps one-on-one. Start simple, then level up: break down characters, add texture, and get proportions right. End by staging your opening night and take it home. Check out their flyer here.

Thursdays: Art with ArtHouse, Grades 2 - 5
Program will start in February, more details to come!
Fridays: Learn Spanish with EasySpanish, grades 1- 5
Through a variety of exciting games and interactive activities the children develop vocabulary and grammar
skills in Spanish. No boring or mechanical drills and memorizing words.
Dates: Fridays 1/08-4/2/27, no class 2/12, 2/19, 3/12, 3/19
Class Time: 3:00pm-3:45pm
